-9 degrees C.  It hasn't got above -5 all freaking day.

And I can't stop sneezing.

Please can the weather go back to normal?  I promise I won't whinge about a bit of rain again.  Just not prolonged sub zero temperatures!

Today, yesterday and Friday night I have been painting Piquet's kitchen.  It's a rather striking deep red, which looks excellent.  His house is pretty cold though, so I've had to wear lots and lots of layers while I've done it.

I'm watching Delia's Classic Christmas on BBC2. It's a bit terrifying really - all this meat. It alarmed me a lot when she had the giant turkey on the posh bread board thing, with an edge round it for the fat to all dribble in to. I just tipped tea on my leg, which was bad on two counts.  1) my leg is now very wet and I can't be bothered to go and change pj's and 2) I wasted good tea on my leg, which doesn't even like tea.  Bah!  Don't mock about the pj's at 6pm.

I am not liking the sound of the 'coldest February on record' malarkey that's going on at the moment.  Coupled with the snow, I'm a bit perturbed.  Also, I was reading the Amsterdam guidebook and it said that if it gets really cold there the canals freeze.  Which sounds rather interesting!
